  • Barr Hill Gin Negroni

    Barr Hill Negroni

In 1919 a famous Count by the name of Camillo Negroni, whom had spent some time traveling and drinking in the states, returned to his favorite bar in Florence, Italy and asked the bartender to make his favorite cocktail, the Americano, but to make it more ‘robusto’ (stronger) by substituting the soda water for gin. And now we have one of the most famous drinks in the world, and a bartender’s favorite.

Prepared as an aperitif, a Negroni is the very definition of balance and simplicity.  With only three ingredients, quality spirits are a must. We love how the bold botanicals and beautiful balance of Barr Hill Gin elevates this classic cocktail.

    Ingredients:

    1.5 oz Barr Hill Gin
    .75 oz Campari
    .75 oz Sweet Red Vermouth
    Orange twist Garnish

    Preparation:
Combine Barr Hill Gin, Campari, and Vermouth in a mixing glass filled with ice and stir. Strain into a chilled rocks glass with fresh ice, express the orange twist over top and garnish.
