Flippin' Lucky

A “flip” is a classic style of cocktail using a whole egg. Traditionally they were a mix of ale, spirit, molasses and whole egg served hot. It’s evolved over the years and today they are typically served cold. The whole egg gives it a rich, creamy texture similar to eggnog.

This version with barrel-aged Tom Cat Gin and Irish Stout is a perfect St. Paddy's Day cocktail - may the luck of the Irish be with you, and enjoy!

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Tom Cat Gin
3 oz Dry Irish Stout
0.5 oz Honey Syrup
1 Orange Wheel
1 Whole Egg

    Preparation:

    Dry shake everything but the beer. Add ice and shake again. Double strain into a cocktail glass and top with the Irish stout.
